Transportes el Junza is created in 1934 when its founder, Don Francisco Pérez Rodríguez, buys his first truck, a Chevrolet, with which he starts to carry fresh fish, flour, etc. from Garrucha to Almería and Murcia.
Later, Don Francisco together with his sons as drivers expand the business and buy two LEILAND trucks and afterwards two PEGASO165. They start to carry marble from Macael to every corner of Spain.
The development of agriculture in the region of La Rábita (Granada) and The “Poniente Almeriense” provids a new business opportunity to Transortes El Junza, specifically the start of the vegetable transport from these regions towards Barcelona.
In 1972 Trasportes El Junza decides to make a leap forward in the quality of its services. The company buys its first temperature-controlled BARREIRO truck, equipped with refrigerating MIROFRET van.
Since that moment on, the company has been growing and offering its wide experience to fruit and vegetable exporters, assisting them in the delivery of goods to the European market in perfect conditions. All this, combined with our excellent team of over 300 people, is the real driving force of our company, as well as our best legacy.
